Frozen In Time

Frozen In Time is the story of a fallen star of science – vertebrate Paleontologist Natalia Rybczynski – who stood at the forefront of her field when she was stopped in her tracks by a traumatic brain injury (TBI). In the first decade of her spectacular career, she reported a series of intoxicating discoveries from her fieldwork in the remote High Arctic, each one hinting at a rich forest world full of surprising creatures before the Ice Age.

Take a step into the extraordinary world of a woman who has fought bravely through a decade-long battle with brain injury and join Handful of Films on an exclusive inside look from the depths of her struggles to the heights of her triumphs. With the help of renowned and award-winning animation studio Global Mechanic Media, we are able to shed new life on her courageous and inspiring journey and witness firsthand the incredible power of the human spirit and the perseverance that can carry us through even the toughest challenges. Slated for broadcast on CBC The Nature of Things 2024.
